Muffler mounting..

Has anyone here done any of their own exhaust work? I am looking to install a muffler right after my Hooker Y pipe. I currently have a glasspack right after my Y pipe and it is WAY too loud... I have to drive around 1500-2krpm all the time. I am also having clearance issues with the glasspack, so I was curious if a muffler would even fit.

Thanks.

Flowmaster makes these mufflers that are made for older hot rods that are what you are looking for. They are small and skinny, but cost over $100.00. I think they are 100-125. Check out Summit Racing. I can't remember the exact name though.

They are called hushpowers. And i was wondering if anyone has used them instead of bullets in a dual setup.

Yah, I guess I will just go with a hooker 3" muffler and mount it in the stock location.
