MSD Rev limiters ...do they kick in slightly early?
I've got the 6500 plug in my MSD6BTM right now and it appears it begins to kick in softly at ~6300 ....I am pretty certain of this, as my tach has been checked before and matches what my Scanmaster says. Is this normal? I remember another time I had the 6000 plug in and it was kicking in at more like 5800 ...so the same disparity exists there too. Perhaps that's part of how the "soft touch" works via beginning to kick in a couple hundred revs before the number stamped on the plug. Is that correct?
