Re: MSD has an opti for us?

Perhaps the rumor about MSD's ignition wrecking Opti's sooner with their higher voltages is true and MSD knew about it and decided to put out their own?
"Dupont material offers improved strength and dielectric properties to handle higher voltages."

Just speculating. Thats pretty cool if they put one out though

Re: MSD has an opti for us?

Its just the cap and rotor... I guess its a start.... But with other systems coming out; IE: Delteq and LTCC it might be to late in the game... LT1 owners have been asking for assistance from MSD for awhile now and they were saying not a big enough market.. Go figuire....

They're also offering LS1 coils too. I have to agree with n2ceptor though, they did wait to long. After all, why buy a cap and rotor when there are systems out there that eliminate the need for them.

Re: MSD has an opti for us?

I'd like to know a price. It pretty much doesn't bring much to the market, other than a beefier cap/rotor design, which I'm not sure there is really a demand for, with the other alternatives out there.

Not enough market for the LT 1 & 4 ? MSD came out with a dist. for the Flat Head Fords this year, go figure ? Those engines where last produced in 1953 !Talk about a limited market

I entered the part#'s on Summits web site. The 93-94 one didn't bring up anything but the 95-97's came back as:

MSD-84811 95-97 LTI DIST CAP KIT 12/4 $152.99

Re: MSD has an opti for us?

so will this baby be complete? Or is it only the cap and rotar part? Because if you still need to prurchase the rest of the unit, then its kind of stupid they didnt sell a complete system.

Re: MSD has an opti for us?

The LS1 coils offering multiple sparks is GREAT NEWS for LTCC owners!!! And giving the LTCC an even bigger edge on it's Delteq competetion.
