MSD Dist :w/ NOS Tune

car was tuned by Mad Z and is set for 175 shot, when not on the spray can I advance the timing on the distributor then set it back when on the spray or not?

Why not have it tuned for peak performance without the spray, then use an external box to retard timing when you spray. Would be a lot easier than crawling under the hood whenever you plan to spray.

It would appear that moving the screw on the MSD may change the optical signal output relative to the cam nose, which affects both spark and injectors, relative to TDC. You would need to confirm that the timing adjustment shifts only the spark and not the injectors, although a few degrees one way or the other on the injectors will not have a major effect on performance.
