Thumbs down The MSD coil I just bought is the suck....

So yesterday I put a MSD coil in my car, along with new plugs, and a new opti harness. I went to look at my stepbrother's truck he just wrecked and left the car running. I got in it to leave, put it in reverse and it just died. I tried to start it back, and it would turn over and start for just a split second and die again. I called one of my friends (Kyle at CSS) and he suggested that I put the old coil back in it. (Nothing was wrong with the old coil except it was loose in the bracket) So I did, and the car started right up. Just to make sure I swapped them again. The car wouldn't start. Swapped them back, fired right up. Has anyone else had this kind of trouble? Kyle said he's had lots of problems with MSD coils, but has never had one go out the very next day.

I had a MSD coil failure. Replaced it with a Crane PS-91, no problems for 50K miles.

MSD will warranty it. Electrical parts break. It happens to all brands.
