Mounting mallory 685

I want to mount it on the firewall behind the pcm where my a/c used to be but I'm worried that its too close to the longtubes. Will that be okay?

Should be fine. Might wanna try and use some heat shield or something. They're pretty good about replacing stuff if it goes out anyway. Mine's in the glovebox for what it's worth.

how hard was it to extend the wiring harness into the car's glovebox compartment? i was thinking of doing this and never got around to seeing whats involved

Two bolts and the PCM comes out. There's a grommet on the firewall behind it. Extend the wires and route through the grommet. Voila.
