I just got the motor back into the car saturday and the thing is running so damn rich. We had a problem in the oil pump priming sequence. My battery is in the trunk so when we tried to turn the motor with the coil wire off it pretty much hydrolocked. So then we pulled the plugs out and primed it without any compression that seemed to work. when the thing finally fired up there was so much smoke from the oil in the cylinders from assembly. the smoke has stopped but the car is so rich its backfiring in the exhaust sounding like gunshots. i gasket matched the heads to intake and headers to heads. I installed the hotcam kit. Had ion reprogram for 30#injectors. so i am confused on whats wrong. are the injectors to big. or is my tune not correct. the car starts and will run but will idle until it pops and then will die.
