Which motor oil weight to use?

Which motor oil weight to use?

I'm about to change my oil with some mobil 1 synthetic and wanted to know if i should use 10w-30, 5w-30, or 5w-50. Thanks

For summer, I would use 10w-40 or 10w-30, in that order of choice.

K, thx shoebox. For the winter what should i use 5w-30?

Yeah, if it gets reasonably cold where you are.

I use 10w30 in the summer. I tried some 5w30 the other day, and I really don't like it for the summertime. I'd probably just use 10w30 year round.

Well i live in california and it doesn't get to cold over so i will probably just use 10w-30 year around.
