motor mounts...separate shells

Ok I need to replace these mounts before new motor goes in because they are in bad shape. motor is out so pulling the mounts of isn't the problem. how the crap do I get them out of these damn shells! I know I gotta drill out the rivets, but I drilled on this thing for who knows how long and seems like I got no where! Anyone have any tricks that they used to get these things out?
i'm just using a normal hand drill, so maybe I should find someone with a drill press???
anyone know the exact size bit to use anyway??

You need a 1/4 for the small ones and a 3/8 for the bigger ones.. Once you drill though, take the bit and rotate it around in the hole.. Then just take a hammer and a flat puch and hit it between the two plates.. Should pop right off.. Atleast mine did.

I just did this yesterday. For the rivets that you can see through, use a 3/8 drill bit and put your back into it. The other smaller solid rivets were a bitch!!! I ended up grinding off the heads and splitting it open with a chizel and a BFH. Al and all it shouldent take you more than 30 min to do (minus putting them in the car)
