Re: Motor mounts

There aren't that many options. OEM replacement, parts store replacement and poly mounts. The poly mounts will give you a slight vibration at idle, some may be able to live with, but it if you want your car to feel like a caddy then your probably better off with the OEM. I went with energy suspension poly mounts and they don't vibrate all that much, i'm happy with them. They are also about half the price of OEM ones.

Re: Motor mounts

The poly ones are stiffer so they dont let the engine move as much. They are a must for vehicles with higher hp. They also last longer than the stock rubber ones and wont sag after years of use. I have the poly tranny and motor mounts and they dont vibrate any worst that stock, a little less i think.

Re: Motor mounts

I also got the Prothane Poly Mounts and I paid around 45.00 bucks for the pair. You can't beat that price as I'm pretty sure the stock GM mounts cost alot more then that.

www.thunderracing.com and I'm sure a few other site sponsors carry mounts as well.

Re: Motor mounts

I bought new OEM mounts when the 383 went in. I had no issues with them and they have worked flawlessly since I have had them in there
