motor is locked up and will not spin
motor is locked up and will not spin **pics added
New 355 with 1000miles on it
was driving under 5mph in 1st gear when a noise similar to
the sound of trying to start your car while its already running (spline/gear whine)
motor shut off and will not start back
when key is turned the balancer moves, but then returns to its origional position, the clutch pedal is fine, the tranny goes into all gears without a problem
weird sounds from my abs controller (a clicking/clanking sound) when the key is in the run position.
any ideas?

could be hyrdolocked, pulling the plugs would help rule that out.

sounds like whoever assembled it used motor oil instead of assembly lube. my friend just had this happen to his fully built carb 350 that cost 4k. the builder uses motor oil instead of assembly lube and right around 1000 miles one of the pistons exploded and we noticed that all of the berings (rod and main) were chewed to peices. and the rod from where the piston exploded had almost no berring at all was left. when we contacted the builder he claimed to have no responsibility for the problems and when i called back and acted like a intrested customer i asked what he used for assembly lube and he said that all of his builds use motor oil for assembly lube. well thats all fine if you plan to start the engiine 30 min after its built but if it takes 3-44 weeks like it did him then all of that oil has seeped back out and left nothing but metal to metal contact

I've always sed motor oil to assemble all of my engines, never had a problem. Most of them dont get started 30 min later either. Let alone the fact if the engine had a oiling problem the thing would not of made it 1000 miles. Now if the clearences were not right that would explain the chewed up bearings.
