Lightbulb Motor going in from top... couple questions :)

Should I put the alternator on in the car or out?
Should I put the stock exhaust manifolds in the car or out?
Should I attach the wiring harness in the car or out?
Where to attach the chains? I dont want to damage the freshly painted motor
Should I put the stock y-pipe and cat on before I put the motor in?
Tips?
Anything I need to know before I fire it up? Priming oil pump, etc..?
This is my first time and I really need advice, so please be as helpful as possible

The tranny is already in the car, its just the motor going in and the radiator is already out.

The alternator easily installs after the motor is in. I leave everything off except the heads and intake when I install from the top. I use a Happy Hooker, a plate that mounts to the intake, to lower mine in the car. I bought it from TPIS years ago.

u can probably put your manifolds on, but i'd leave everything else out for now. its much easier to put it all on later, than try it and have it not work. eats gaskets, tears gaskets, and takes a while
