Question most power n/a with LT4 intake?

What's the most power anybody has ever been able to get out of an LT4 intake?

Thanks
Chuck

You do know that you have to run different heads (lt4, afr, etc) to use that intake. That intake is what you buy to accomidate heads that make awesome power. Your kind of limited with a lt1 intake. So, the fastest lt1 out there is probably running an lt4 intake. Hope this helps.

Where did the 58 mm throttle body come from?
Did he say something about that?

he was asking about power made with an LT4 intake...so I figured if he didnt have LT4 heads he could just port his LT1 intake...if he had one...to 58mm if he was confused on whether or not he could use an LT4 intake on LT1 heads...

This is going to sound dumb but what is the difference in the lt1 and the lt4?

I'll cut in here...because I know what Chuck is asking.

He is making good NA power out of his setup...and for that matter, so am I. Chuck should be making more. We are thinking that the LT4 intake manifold is keeping him from making the most potential power from his setup. The manifolds have already been taken about as far as they can go. port-wise, and my engine builder already showed me based on flow numbers, that the intake manifold was indeed dragging down the performance of my heads, when flowed together.

Some of the guys at the highest rung of the LT1 N/A power ladder, have moved on to custom sheet metal intakes.

We simply want to know who has attained some really good numbers, and still stayed with the GM casted intake.

we are talking numbers in the 500+rwhp range here. Shout 'em out if ya got 'em.

I'll let Chuck take it from here...

Thanks Bob, don't see how people can get confused over such a simple question. And yet, all day, and still no answer. Someone has to know. Or are you all just going to dub me the most powerful with the LT4 intake at a blistering :cough cough: 560 fwhp @ 7200 rpm? All I want to know is if anybody else has been able to make more... Because if they have, I'm going to try to figure out why I'm down on power. If not, then I'll just assume the manifold the culpret, and have a sheet metal made... Or go the dreaded non forward facing conventional style intake route.

Thanks
Chuck

IMO your not going to pick up much if any power by switching from a lt1 to lt4 intake on lt1 heads.

Look at Fred and Arnie's posts.

He's not switching anything. He's already running the LT4 manifold...and looking to see what the ceiling is for it so that he can compare his numbers.

Unfortunately, I don't have that answer either...

My interpretation of this post leads me to believe that Chuck already has an LT4 intake, but believes it could be the limiting factor in his combination. I'm not trying to flame, just trying to clear up that it's not a question of LT1 vs. LT4 intakes. Please correct me if I'm wrong...

EDIT: Josh beat me to it. I also do not have the answer to the original question.

Guys, no offense... but you're totally missing my question here.

Ok, having said all that, you should conclude that I ALREADY am running an LT4 intake manifold... which are on top of AFR LT4 style heads. Adding to that, it has also been extensively ported... What I am mearly asking is, who is making the most power with an LT4 intake... because I simply want to compare my numbers to theirs, since I believe my numbers to be down a good 50-70 hp from where they should be. So if we could answer that simple question, I'd be quite happy.

Later
Chuck
