I had the moser 12 bolt i just purchased checked out at the local gear shop here in vegas the name of the shop was Dans driveline and they said the rear-end was set up perfect for street strip use .06 backlash I think they said but anyway all the bad mouthing of moser i figured here is something good they checked the pattern of the gears and the trq of every bolt and they gave it thier stamp of approval. they said its set-up like they would of set it up for strenght without alot of noise. and while i was there they pressed everything on my axles and put in a new u joint for my 1350 yolk

You will need to have your driveshaft shortened more than likely. CHECK AND DOUBLE CHECK the length. Many have had problems.

well the good thing is if i need to have it shortened it will only be $66 to shorten and balance it and the shop i took it to said they would check it for free

youve got to love first class shops

 

my moser 12 bolt with the 3.73 gears makes almost zero noise!! the only noise you hear is when you let off the gas and you wouldnt even hear that if i didnt have a spohn trq arm with the rod end on it. this thing is nice and it seems to make the car ride a little stiffer I have some pics of the install with the trq arm and the spohn sway bar relocation kit on there it is very nice. all of spohns parts that i have bought have been first class!!
the only thing that i will have to do is have my drive shaft shortened i think. it is very tight and for 66 bucks whoop de doo hell i spent more than that on the sway bar kit lol
