Moroso vs. K&N Air increase

Looking in back of my Summit catalog:

There is a K&N air flow increaser ($205) and a Moroso ($190). Which is better? Thinking about getting one.

(One the side: are these good prices?)

For performance they're about the same. You should be able to find a used one for much less money.

from what I've read the K&n is a little better - both are a big improvement

Thanks a lot !

Are the filters cleanable? If not are they easy to buy separate?

i've heard from many many people that all of them are basically the same (SLP, K&N, Moroso, Lingenfelter, etc.) except the G2 one is not worth it and the others outperform it...

You can make a filter look like brand new with a K&N Recharging kit which is about....$12 or so?

If I were you, I'd buy a used one. They usually go for much cheaper. It's just a piece of plastic anyway.

When it comes to intakes, everything with the exception of the G2 is the same. I went with a Moroso and K&N Air filter, it really doesn't matter though.

I've got the Moroso. I agree with everyone else that they're all pretty much the same. I'm sure one out-performs the others by a little, but you won't know this unless your car is pulling in all the air around it . I could definitely feel the difference when I put my cold air on, so I recommend the moroso. (It is easy to install. It took me 20 minutes to install, but 10 of these minutes was trying to put the stupid bolt on, which wouldn't line up cause i drilled the hole in the wrong place )

My buddy has the Moroso one and it was much easier to install it all. When I installed my K&N one, I had problems getting the cone to kit onto the plastic piece. They're both going to be better than stock air flow.

I have the Moroso. I bought it because Moroso has been around the drag racing community for years. I don't think there is much difference between the Moroso and the K&N. I use the K&N cleaning stuff on the Moroso.
