Moroso CAI

Did a search and only found it in the sigs... LoL. N E ways, I have a stock
LT1 with a recent tune up, and I just order a moroso CAI.... Will my Gas Mileage get worse, b/c I just squeezed 270 miles out of a tank.. (44k is amazing)... Also, any check engine light I have to be concerned of or tuning. How do they Sound? Louder?

Thanks in advance

i dont have one yet, im sure someone who does will reply. i do know that you wont need to do any tuning for just an intake. check engine light shouldnt come on, it might be a little louder when you step on it. gas mileage shouldnt decrease if you dont change your driving style, might get a little better since the engine will be breathing better. i would also suggest getting a new intake elbow. i got one on ebay a few weeks ago cause mine was torn. mines aluminum, no silencer and completely smooth inside.

Elbow won't help much, if any on a stock motor.

The CAI will give you a little louder sound and hopefully an improvement in fuel mileage if you can keep your foot out of it.

Anything that contributes to a more efficiently running engine should not hurt your mpg.
