Can I use pistons with floating pins?

I found a great set of forged pistons but they have floating pins and the stock has press fit? Can I use these with stock rods or do I need to find a set of rods for floating pin pistons?

I think you'll be o.k. with the oem rods. I used Ross floating pin pistons on my BBC rebuild with stock rods. Its doing fine after 40k miles.

Yes, I am running Scat forged bushed wrist pins. The clips are a PITA to install BTW.

I have to use 6.0" rods with these floating pin pistons. What stock replacement rod would recommend? an I-beam Scat?

Scat I-beams are a great replacement for the money. Are you beefing up the motor at all or just rebuilding?

Well i had just originally planned to go .030 over with some forged pistons (stock rods and crank) for my new heads and cam but the pistons I picked up need a 6" rod so i'm basicly looking for a good replacement. I don't need a solid titanium alloy super dooper h-beam rod if you know what i mean. Stronger than stock is good but nothing major.

Get some forged I-beams. Scat or Eagle, either is good for a budget build.
