Question Mods for a LT1

Well guys, I got a Z-28 over the weekend. I still have my 96 3.8 though, I wouldn't get rid of it, I'd if I did. I'm new to the LT1's so I just want to know what are the best free mods or cheap mods. The car already has a flowmaster exaust and a drop in K&N filter, which will be gone very soon and be replaced with an SLP intake. I already did a search, got tired of reading. Some of the threads are kind of old and some mods were questionable to me. I want to know the mods that work. Thanks

1. CAI (Cold Air Intake). Moroso or K&N
2. Catback and/or Cutout
3. Headers
4. LT4 Hotcam
5. 1.6 RR's
6. Gears
7. Torque Converter/ Clutch
8. Slicks/ Drag Radials
9. Longtubes
10. Bigger Cam
11. 396

Step one, get rid of the flowmaster crap. Either get a cut out with the stock exhaust, or get a low restriction exhaust i.e., not flowmaster.

Euclid, why did you tell him to get headers then longtubes? Is that a typo? Just get longtubes right off the bat and do true dual exhaust.

yea i agree with him, alot of people usually do go thru buyin shortties first then realize they suck an opt for some LTs. The person that had my car first had some crappy *** BBKs and needless to say they came right out for hooker LTs...what an improvement

So why do it twice? Go with a good medium....mid lengths. I've heard of people getting 750+ HP out of AS&Ms......

i didnt say do it twice, i was agreeing about buying LTs only and doing it once, i was sayin how much of an improvement they made.
