You can only get so much out of tuning on a stock motor. Most people that do tuning do it to set the speedo back after gear swap, for the thermostats, fans, shift points, and a few other small things. You really cant tune a car for headers like you can if you had a blower or did a cam swap. Dont get my wrong. I could tell a nice difference when I had my obdI conversion, but I had all bolt ons and needed my speedo set right.

With those times and you saying you beat an LS1 by 2 cars, he couldnt drive or something. Not trying to flame. But my buddy has a stock LS1 with a lid and catback. In the 1/8 he runs 8.3 @ 86mph on worn nittos. I know some run better than others and I would say his is a freak. But most LS1's run better than 14's in the 1/4 stock.

60fts? MPHs thru 1/8th? 1000ft?
Just curious.
Hangover Day - Cordova, IL / Jan 1st, 2003
With a 2.6 - 60ft (18 degrees out,170lb passenger) and sliding off the line..spinning I ran a 14.3 @ 101.3mph
I need to grab my slip to get the other mphs..so you can get the whole picture. Not bad for a A4

With current mods every LS1 race is a very close race...but Ive only lost to one LS1 in my area so far. Some factory freaks are going to tear me up obviously...but **** happens Cant win them all. The only car thats giving me problems is a 98 SS.. he has DRs and I can only keep my nose at his door.. We havnt taken it much higher than 70 or 80mph..so I dont know how it will pan out.. but I started to pulll my friends T/A after 90mph and have pulled a 00 SS on the interstate in Triple digits. So with any luck I can get him. Otherwise LS1 cars are just amazing stock..and they only get faster with more mods..so everytime you think your catching up..they get another mod. Damn my friends. LOL

I believe that is very possible. You have some decent mods and a stall which helps alot at the track.

LS1's are just freaks. I know what you mean how right when you think you have them, a buddy will throw some headers on and be right with you again. DAMN LS1's.

Bone stock my car went 13.8 @ 101, and made 260 RWHP. Now with LTs its making 300 RWHP. No e.t.s yet, but I have beat every LS1 I've come across. Pulled about a car on an auto from 50 - 130ish, he had gears and a lid. Pulled 1 - 2 cars depending on the race against a six speed car, don't know his mods. Both those cars dyno'd more peak power than mine too. I weigh more than both guys that were driving too. Their cars didn't make more power until about 5000 rpms, and I had more torque and hp across the board otherwise. LTs and good exhaust will get you there.

LTs and a CAI. I did both at the same time. Here is a comparison between the 2 runs.

I just dont see some LT's and a CAI adding about 50hp and 40RWHP! Dyno graphs are easy to make, but if those are the actual numbers then congrats.

By the way. I noticed you are from Columbia SC. You should check out www.scfyb.com if you arent a member already. Its our state Camaro board.

I've been to the scfyb before, but don't post there much. Not too big on cyberchatting. Anywho, I assure you the numbers are actual. I have the runviewer from dynojet, which you can download from their site. Then you simply save your dyno file and you can open up to 3 of them. Its pretty versatile, as you can show SAE, DIN, EEC, standard, or uncorrected HP, with 5 levels of smoothing. It is just like the WINPEP software they use at the dyno, but only for viewing. I dyno'd at ATS Performance here in Columbia. Phillip and Chris are both familiar with my car and should be able to verify the mods at each dyno. The car made the 260 stock, wait, it had a flowmaster muffler. No freemods, 180K on the motor. As a comparison, exhaust flow is worth a LOT. I put a cutout in place of the cat, and it made 270 with it uncapped. Gains everywhere too. Sounded like POO though. Do you ever go to Darlington? If it doesn't rain, I think I'm gonna head that way this Wednesday, try to hit the 12s. Probably won't with me driving, but my buddy might be able to. He drives a LOT better than I do, and weighs about 150Lbs less too. Hope nothing breaks on the slicks though! Should be ok with a stock clutch. See ya there if ya make it!
