Which modified exhaust pipe diameter should I use

I just got my jet hot long tubes, I plan on doing a true dual with an x pipe, cutouts, and goes over the rear axel to exit at stock location. No huge mods to engine in mind, only a 224/236 XE cam with all the free and cheap mods on my m6 TA with 3.42 in the rear. Possibly nitrous oxide in the future (100-200 shot). the heads are from a 1996 impalla I believe, so they are iron and flow a little better. my question is should I use 3", 2.75", or 2.5" for the pipes after the collectors? And also, I'm looking for a quiet muffler (close to stock without cats loudness), bullet style, do you know of any? If there are none then possibly 2 mufflers for each side.

With duals, you can go with 2.5" pipes. They will flow plenty well for your setup.

Edit: Reading more closely, are you trying to go duals out the back? If so, you won't really be able to fit pipes bigger than 2.5" without banging and rubbing. Even that size will be an extremely tight fit. You're looking at a fair bit of custom bending and fabrication. Good luck. It's been done, but it's not easy.
