model paint

the moron who had my car b4 me painted the firebird indentation in the back w/ silver model paint!!!!!!! how can i get this off w/o ruining my stock paint. help!!! ( i put this in the apperance forum and did not get many responses so now its here)

Don't think you can. Model paint is laquer paint, like automotive paint used to be before clearcoats took over. Any solvent will more than likely damage your paint.

You mean the indentation in the bumper cover???

If so, a good way you could cover it up would be to get some decals. I think it is firebat that make some good ones, don't remember his web addy though. I am sure there will be someone that has it and will chime in here in a sec.

model paint is actually enamel, unless it was the water soluable stuff.


you could try paint thinner and some elbow grease......but i think it wont work.
