My exhaust leak turned out to be a broken bolt in the rear so i installed headers that don't use that hole and fixed my problem. It costs under $500 for everything.

I understand the CA's emissions may get tougher, however they might not affect your car. You can mod the hell out it and still meet the emissions requirements so there is no need to concern yourself with going back to stock----just make sure that your particular mods are in compliance with both Fed and State standards, e.g. Fed law requires that the cats remain in the same location and you don't delete them. Mid-sized and shortie headers may be legal if they don't require cat relo.

Mid-tubes will move the cat on an OBD2 car. 2nd 2 noss, with most of the mods in my sig, I have passed CA smog. The biggest thing that will fail you is cam. If you get too lumpy a cam (which is anything with over mid 220 duration) then you will fail. Any headers other than shorties, you will fail the emission. The key is to find a place that doesn't do the visual . I'm planning on putting on LTs and high flow cats, cuz I know a place that doesn't do the visual. I just hope I pass the sniffer .
