Mixing Dino & Synthetic oil for form my own blend??
Re: Mixing Dino & Synthetic oil for form my own blend??
Hm, i think i'm going to start doing that then. Maybe get some advantages of synthetic without the disadvantage of a lighter wallet from going to full synthetic.

Yeah, instead of buying a blend like castrol syntec, i'll buy some mobil synthetic and mobil conventional and throw 2.5 qts of each in the engine. Or 2 qts of synthetic & 3 qts of conventional... or something like that....

Pay little now or a lot later....
I use and run M1 in every car I have and every engine I build. It's the ONLY insurance you can get for a motor, period. State Farm, GEICO, Progressive, none of them are going to give you anything per month that is as cheap and as effective as M1.

Hell the Syn Blend stuff would be cheaper to begin with...
Mobil 1 is 4.80 a quart I believe. Say typical conventional is about 1.25 a quart.
4.8 x 2.5 = $12
1.25 x 2.5 = $3.13
For a total of $15 or so...
5 quarts of Syn Blend which is about $2.50 I think would run you $12.50!
