missing header bolt...

Ok as i said in my other post i have a very long and difficult time putting in my headers. i prolly broke everything that was possible in a header install anyway i broke the second to last bolt on the driver side. i took the head totally out. i tried to get an easy out on it and take it out. no such luck....snapped the easy out in there also. lol ya i laugh at it now also. Anyway i took the head to a machine shop and they said it would cost alot of $$$ so i was like nevermind...since im getting new heads in a year. so i put my driver side head back on and just bolted up the header up...i was thinking that it would hold since it was the second last one and would most likely have support from the third one back....i just wanted to see what you guys thought? whats the worst thing that can happen? leak? blow a gasket?

tell me what you guys think

thanks

Re: missing header bolt...

If your header flange is thick and you're lucky maybe it'll hold for sometime. most probably it will leak and once that happens the gasket will burn.

Re: missing header bolt...

You are also going to need new head bolts if you haven't bought them yet since they are torque to yield bolts.
