My car seems to missfire between 1,000-2,000 rpm's what could it be it has 100,000 miles on itcould it be the plugs

 

When was the opti (distributor) last changed?
What about plugs and wires?

When you say misfire, do you mean hesitation/stumble?

 

i gots the same problem. just recently changed wires, plugs, added K&N FIPK, Edelbrock Headers w/y-pipe, 160 thermo, and i cannot figure out what is wrong, except that maybe my opti is going bad. if that is the case they are 130 bux for a new one and how hard is the removal/install? If it is too hard i will have to have a shop do it for me. :P
