Hey man, I had the same problem with my car doing that under full throttle at around 5,500rpms. I took my car to several places trying to figure it out and no one could tell me for sure what it was. Well, I talked to my friend Patrick(a.k.a. pattymelt) and he told me he was more than sure it was the optispark. So, I replaced the optispark system and havent had that problem since. It can get pretty expensive, so I would check with other people and see what they think it might be first, but it sounds like thats probably your problem. If you have any other questions or need some other help just PM me, or try me on AIM(PonyStalkerZ28).
Opti can be known to go out whenever it wants to, my friend had to replace his on his vette four times in two years. How new is it? It could be something else though, so check around and see what other people say.
well lemme tell u a story about my car.
when i bought her i drove her 1hr and 45min to my house and it was a paradize!!! so when i got home the next day she took a bath and i prayed some engine bright and soaked her after. well 20 min later my car run like crap and it would stall. i didnt touch her for 4 days and i guess it dried but 2 month after the missing problem came back.
i guess it can be the opti.
is it hard to replace or ust time consumming?

It probably is it then, thats the problem with washing the engines of F-body's. If you get the optispark wet, your pretty much screwed. Mine wasnt that hard to replace because my motor and everything else were already out of the car when I did it. It can be a pain when the motor is in it though. The opti is behind the fans, the water pump and all that other junk. So it is pretty much just time consuming and a pain because you have to remove all that stuff.
i had a miss in the exact same place about a year ago, and it turned out my coil wire was bad. often a high rpm only miss ir related to the coil or coil wire. check those b4 you do the opti.
