Miss-fire related with the MAF

Hi, Guys

I Have the a miss-fire problem, the car is missing in low rpm's. I saw the gas coming out from the exhaust. But if I disconnect the MASS SENSOR the miss disappears.

Also, I clean the MASS SENSOR with a MAF cleaner. But nothing happens.

I would damage other part if I run the car without the Mass Sensor ???

The engine will run OK in speed-density mode, which is what the PCM defaults to lacking the signal from the MAF. With limited mod's, the stock speed-density tuning will be OK. You don't appear to have much more than the CAI and headers, so you'll probably be OK in speed-density. With more radical mods, it could cause problems.

Why not fix the problem? Swap in an MAF that you know works. If that doesn't fix things, check the wiring harness. Make sure you have +12V at the pink wire in the harness.

Suggestion - Include basic info about your car in the "signature" field. At least add the year of the car. Not all years of the LT1 are the same, and lacking the basic info like the year, it may make it more difficult for people to help you.

Well I checked the pink wire in the harness and it has 12v.
Then disconnect the battery for a few minutes and connect the maf, connect the battery again. The car run's great for about 5 min and then come back missing again. But when the ses light come on I scanned and they says that can not comunicate with the pcm.

I dont know what to do ...

What kind of scanner are you trying to read the PCM with? The 95 is an OBD-I PCM, but has an OBD-II style 16-pin ALDL connector.

If it runs ok until it starts warming up it could be an O2 closed loop problem as well.

Might want to take the time to find out if you were using the correct scanner. If it will scan OBD-I, you may need to use the 12-pin connector and jumper it as shown on Shoebox's site:

Found that one out the hard way and thought the scanner was sh*t. Rewired an obd1 connector and scanner works fine.
