Misfire SES. does it pull timing at all?
Misfire SES. does it pull timing at all?
Hey guys.. after the cam the car's CPS is reporting a false misfire at idle due to the lope. (I hear this is a common OBD2 problem with a somewhat lopey cam)
So I have an SES blaring at me and I plan to take the car to the track tomorrow. I know it's false b/c once the RPM's go up you can see the "misfire count" in autotap go away completely, and the car has no signs of a miss b/c it's running great.
Can I run tomorrow and be ok? Anyone know if there is any timing pulled by the PCM due to the light being on? I sure hope not.. it's not flashing or anything, just on steady. I plan to get the CPS programmed out soon, but had no time to do it b4 track time.
