Mini Torque Starters

Whats the benefit of getting one of these? When would yall recommend getting one over the stock starter?

Saves a little weight and also helps if you have huge amounts of compression that the stock starter would have trouble turning over.

Agree, but to elaborate a bit - unless you are looking to spend $$$ for no good reason, if your stock starter is working, use it. It's one of the few things on my car that is still stock!

I use a CSR mini starter, it cranks up to 11.5 to 1 motors and im 11.25 so its right there, its VERY light and also has the best clearance for my headers.

Whats the stock starter good up to? Im going to be running 12.6:1 when I get my motor back together. Should I get a mini? I was lookin at one on jegs. It was a jegs brand and it was barely over 100 bucks..
