Milodon windage tray studs installed....question
Milodon windage tray studs installed....question
I just had my short block built but the standard ARP studs were installed so I needed to switch the six main studs out for the Milodon studs that would except their windage tray.
Need you guys to check my procedure and see if I did it right.
1. Cleaned all the new studs with break cleaner or lacquer thinner.
2. Removed 1 original main stud from 1 cap. (Replacing one stud at a time)
3. Dipped block side of the new stud in 30w oil...only up to the top of the treads.
4. Install stud finger tight in block.
5. Wipe 30w oil all the way around the top threads for the nut.
6. Torque the nut to 65 ft/lb per the Milodon instructions.
Perform 5 more times.
Thanks

Thanks guys...I thought I had done it right but I just wanted to make sure that there weren't any known issues with the way I did it.
