Mild Power Combo

I am looking to put the car over 300 hp. The combo that I was thinking of using would be something like

CRANE CAMES LT1 Camshaft
210/224 .479/.518 112LSA
MAGNAFLOW Cat-Back
K&N FIPK

Now what kind of power could I expect from the cam(with matching springs and all). I would also like headers but am not sure what ones would be the best for street use, and I have heard they are a real pain to install(not that a cam swap is easy).

I have the Crane 227 cam, Comp R lifters, Isky 235-D
valve springs, retainers, etc., etc., but have not done
the install yet. You can see my HP from the sig, so I
would guess the HP will pass the 300 mark with the
cam install.

Crane's dyno runs on this cam in an LT1 resulted in
+35 HP. This was on a stock motor on an engine dyno
so it sounds like +30 rwhp is possible. With even more
HP possible from a custome tune I would say you can
achieve your desired results.

Every situation is different so it's hard to estimate what
your results will be. All I can say is probably a bit over
300. I hope to get +30 from the cam, maybe +10 from
a tune, and +5 from extrude honed exhaust manifolds.

And yes, the extrude hone will cost more than a set of
long tubes, but that's not the point.

Which one is the crane 227 cam, the 210/224, or the 222/230?

I should have made that a little clearer. The 210/224
and the 227 are one in the same. The part number
for the cam is 104227 so it gets called the 227 some
times. It's AKA the PowerMax 2033.

Post the results when you get the cam in, I'm looking at getting the 210/224 in a few months. I want something streetable, but that will still give me some decent gains.

It may be a month or two before I start the install but I
will definately post the results. I made one change since
the last dyno run so I need to get another basiline first.

I noticed in your sig that you have dynoed. Did you happen
to dyno before and after the tune? If so, what was the
result?

I didn't dyno before or after, but I couldn't be happier with the tune. The A/F ratio is PERFECT, 13.0-12.8 across the board.
