I tried just sticking the blue wire in with the 10A ignition fuse in the engine fuse box. But that blew my fuse. Is there a favorite spot to splice this wire in? The only accy power wire I know of is the one for the radio. And if I splice into a wire that is on a fuse, won't that just blow that fuse because the total draw through the line would likely be more than the fuse is rated?

 

you need to wire it through a relay. I used the ignition feed at the coil to trigger the relay.
