Hey all,
I am looking to rig this thing up tonight and need some info. I did a search and found a couple of diagrams to use. Here are those links:

I am going to do the install to a switch I manually have to hit in order to turn the pump on. I will route the light indicator in the switch to the power wire on the pump between it and the relay for proof that it is running. The question is that these diagrams require a diode and I have no idea what that is or what it does. So can anyone explain please and maybe point me in the right direction as to where I get one? Hey thanks for any info in advance all.

 

I believe those are blocking diodes, which basically allows current to flow one way. Radio shack should have them.

 

I only need that if I run a switch and a connection from another power source right?
