Meziere LT1 Electric Water Pump. Anyone have one ?

I was looking around under the car today and I saw signs that my waterpump is going to be letting go soon. The weep hole is......well......weeping. Since I'm going to have to buy a new water pump I might as well put something in there that's better than the origional. I see a lot of people putting on electric pumps by CSI or Meziere. Meziere claims they'll free up to "10RWHP" on an LT1. Anybody here gotton these "claimed" results from there install of a Meziere pump? Any dyno sheets? One of our sponsors - MASC- is selling them for $195. If they are worth 10RWHP I'll order one from MASC.

Thanks.

I didn't know about that ^!! I guess it frees up hp since it's not cam driven anymore.

I didn't do mine for the hp i did mine because it's better than a stock w/p. I always say if it's broke you might as well upgrade!!!

Does this water pump require modification to the housing?

You have to set up the housing for the electric pump, but with the mezier the only mod needed besides that is the fan shroud cut back some. I'm not 100% sure but I think that's it.

I have the meziere pump on my car. It's been fine so far. Do yourself a favor and get rid of that POS inline fuseholder they include with the pump, go to radio shack and get a fuseholder for a standard blade type fuse(what you have in your fusebox). I had some issues with the Meziere supplied fuseholder making contact, causing a blown headgasket and consequently my heads/cam buildup!

Just reading on jegs.com and the CSI water pumps says 93-95 F-bodys it does not say it will work for a 96 or 97. I think they still should work all water pumps are the same 93 thru 97 right or is the CSI pumps just for 93-95?

I've had one for about 3 years. I did have the relay go out once and the car got hot real quick but I got it shut off in time.
I will probably go with a CSI next time. There was a post several months ago about these and several people had problems with them. I haven't heard anything bad about CSI and they are cheaper

it works on 93-97, it fit my 96 with no problems, also with the CSI no modification is needed to the fan shroud, although you do have notch the water pump housing to get it to fit flush (dremel tool and 10 minutes are all i needed)

I haven't had any problems with my meziere. Before i bought mine i heard you had to notch the fan shroud but it didn't have to be notched on mine.

However, it does cost more.

I'm very happy with the Meziere pumps. They also gave me great customer service when I did have a problem.
