Meziere HD Install

Hello,

I would like to go with the Mexiere HD EWP on my new build but have heard that "major mods" are needed to make it fit in the engine bay. Has anybody used this pump and how was the install? Pics are appreciated.

I only use my car during the summer months and it sits in a lot of stop and go traffic until I can get out of the city. The extra circulation of the HD pump is probably a good thing.

Thanks!

You'll probably get a better response to this in the LT1 Based Engine Tech forum. I'll move it there for you.

You need to trim the fan shroud

Thanks guys. You are referring to the Meziere HD pump right? I think the regular ewp just needs some trimming of the fan shroud but vendors keep telling me the HD pump is longer and requires "major mods".

Thanks so much for your help.

Ok. Sounds good. Have any of you upgraded the fans to something slimmer?

How do you like the HD pump. Mainly concerned about summer stop and go...

Stock fans, here. I live in Florida and stop-n-go traffic is not an issue for me. The e-pumps move a lot of coolant at low engine speeds and seem to work better than the stock cam driven one. Thisis a subject that always gets a lot of debate...do a search and you'll see a million posts, some with widely differing views.
