Re: Metal coolant pipe fix???

I've had my battery cover off once, but forget exactly how it connects. But, is it possible to splice in with a rubber hose and hose clamps ? You probably already thought about doing that, or maybe splice in metal hose with rubber hose and hose clamps. Just a thought, or maybe this will give you a better idea.

The pipe pulls out of the grommet. Get a copper tube of the same outside diameter, and use a tubing bender to bend it into the same shape.

Re: Metal coolant pipe fix???

I just changed mine. Some tubing bent to match the original worked. I used a double flare tool to expand the end (not actually flare it) so the hose has something to grip, and installed a section of new hose. A hose clamp doesn't fit in the battery tray well, but this heat shrink hose clamp worked great https://www.summitracing.com/parts/aaf-all30250
