Messed up Threads on Exhaust Bolt

I'm putting on headers and I kinda started a bolt wrong and kinda screwed up the threads a little bit, basically I can't put the header bolt in. It's not horridly stripped just the beginning. How do I fix this, and about how hard is it to do? Thanks.

If its on the drivers side then you may be able to clean the threads up with a tap and die or get a heli coil installed like im gonna have to. If its on the passenger side......well....your gonna have to live with it or pull the head. Hope this helps, good luck!

Take the bolt with you to a good hardware or auto parts store and buy the correct tap.Put it in the hole straight and turn it a quarter turn at a time, reversing it slightly to clear the threads and spray with oil as you go.Good luck and take your time.
