ok i am about to put my motor together. my oil pump is a stock volume and presurre my pickup is a hv pickup does it matter that i put on a hv pick up on a stock melling pump with a stock pan?

 

The pickup style doesn't matter. What does matter is the clearance to the bottom of the pan and having it supported and welded in place. 1/4 to 3/8 off the bottom. Take the pressure valve out before you weld it. Then put it back in when it cools.
