Melling oil pump question

I have two oil pumps, HV and SV/SP (10550 and 10554). I cant find the same pickup that is currently on my HV (small tube). Since the new pump (SV/SP) is a 3/4 tube, my question is this, can I switch oil pump body covers? The two appear to be the same. This way I can still run my aftermarket small tube on the SV/SP pump. Also, I would like to up the pressure a bit, what spring do you recommend? My mains are ~.0025 and rods are ~.0029. Thanks guys.

Re: Melling oil pump question

I talked to Melling and was told the M55's have the same cover and are interchangable. Just be sure and check which spring is in them and make sure you switch those too.

Re: Melling oil pump question

GM white spring or Melling pink are the same 70# spring.
