Melling Lifters Any Good?

Well I bit the bullet and after just having done the intake gasket fix and noticing a tick I went and pulled the intake back off (that "Right Stuff" gasket goo certainly sticks!). My local parts store has Melling lifters that I could get today or I'd have to wait for LS7 lifters. Are Mellings OK or should I wait and go with the LS7 lifters?

Why do you say "the right stuff" sucks?

Everyone recommends ls7 lifters, they are fairly cheap also. That is all I know.

No, I said The Right Stuff was sticky. It was far harder to pull the intake off with it on (or maybe I just did a better job). I had to use my digging pole to pry the intake off (the digging pole is 4' long with a flat edge on one side, perfect for this job!). I liked how TRS mated to the surfaces on each side and felt just like rubber. I'll certainly use it again!

Oh, and the reason I am asking about the Melling lifters is because I can get those today and put it all back together but if I went LS7 I'd have to wait to get them and then check the pushrod lengths (I have 1.6 rockers on) and that would take a few days and the weather is starting to heat up.
