I am using that pump in my #*# right now, at first I went with the low pressure spring that comes with it, but I had a few troubles with it first under gas the pressure stayed at 40 PSI no matter what the rpm was, at idle it dropped to 25, I later removed the pan and put the stock LT1 spring in the pump, now my pressure rises with the rpms (10 psi per 1000 rpm) and it idles around 25 psi warm. I would clean and reuse the LT1 pumps stock spring.

Well there is a spring that comes with the kit. I was wondering if I was gonna throw that one in.

I'm using the same high volume pump and I'm using the spring that was in the pump when I got it. In my 383 I get 25 psi at idle and it raises up to 70 psi at 4000 rpm and stays there all the way up to 6500. I know the pump came with a second spring in the box but I think that was the regular spring which means I'm using the high pressure one.
