i assume your talking about the MAF dont even mess with it. if want to descreen it thats ok. but dont port it.

NO, do not port that out. It will do more harm than good. Alot of people say it will mess up the fuel maps and make the car run worse. Do a search and you can find out alot of stuff!

If your car is basically stock it MAY be beneficial, as the cars come from the factory on the rich side and a ported MAF sensor will help lean it out. If you start modding I'd leave it alone, I wouldn't even descreen it. I had a ported one on my car and it leaned it out to much after the cam and headers so I went back to a stock one with the screen and all. The screen actually acts as an air straightner to improve airflow. Get you car on a dyno with a wideband setup and see what it looks like, then use a program like LT1edit to lean it out. Playing with the MAF housing lead to too many variables.

nope just use the stock one.

when you get over 500hp then worry about.
