I have a 97 fbody lty. I am rerouting the intake and need to know if the there is an up direction for the MAS. I MAS wire loom will not reach if I keep the Mass in the same orientation.
Thanks

The MAF should have an arrow on it showing which way the air should flow through it.
The MAF on my 94 does, so yes it can only go one way.

That is true in terms of air flow driection. But, is there an up. My original oriantation has the plug socket on the driver's side. Can the MAF be turned in dfferent directions. In this case, can I turn it 90 degrees clockwise so that the connector will fit.

As long as the air is flowing through the MAF in the right direction you can mount it any way you want.
