I'm putting my lt's in this weekend, and i am noticing that on both manifolds they start out with two bolts on each side. Then the third one is a nut on a bolt that look like it goes into the head. So all you see is the threads with a bolt on it. Does this sound right if so when i put my lt's in do i take that out to put a bolt in it?? It's confusing the heck out of me. So if you have any advice ill take it b/c im stumped and dont want to go into this project not having a clue what im doing thanks

 

Usually, dont take LT install advice from me, but i know this for fact. the bolt/nut you are refering to is a stud with a nut half way down it. just get a deep 9/16 and take it off like a normal bolt. the nut wont come off the stud. there should be new bolts that came with your headers so you dont need the old ones.
