mallory ignition boxes.. got some questions

i'm leaning toward the mallory ignition box 650-685 hyfire VI CD ign in jegs.

does it interface with the laptop?
whats needed for doing boost referenced timing? how much does it run?
does it have rpm switch in it?

if not what model would i need for these features.
these are key things i'm looking for.

thanks,
mike

Re: mallory ignition boxes.. got some questions

Is it digital, if not i would go with a digital. Crane cams HI-6R digital box with adjustible timing retard that can be hooked up three different ways. Constant adjust, relay activated for NOS when activated and boost pressure. Very nice system GMHTP installed one six months ago or so. I just got mine last week. Oh and its plug and play if you get the opptional harness for 20 bucks. Plus its got built in rev limiter, built in dignostics and no little rpm pills like the analog 6AL MSD for example. its fully adjustable buy turning little pots and your limiter is set with no extral stuff to buy later.

Re: mallory ignition boxes.. got some questions

It does not interface with a laptop as there is no need. It uses MAP to reference boost. It includes a window switch. It's a GREAT piece at a really good price.

Might wanna check to see if you got the right one if it's $205. I thought they ran for about $225 now. If not, that's one hell of a deal.
