Mallory 685 stumble

Ok i hooked up my mallory 685 yesterday and when i am just crusing i can feel it stumble sometimes. The only setting i changed was the first rev limiter because the nitrous system is not hooked up yet. Should the other settings be changed, because the system cant really be hooked up wrong. The harness and then the power and ground. Any ideas?

Stick in the bypass connector so you're bypassing the box then report back to us.

Re: Mallory 685 stumble

Did you buy the box brand new? When I bought mine it was a looong time ago and it was the early version. There was a software issue that made the car not run correctly when the high speed retard was hooked up a certain way. Is your high speed retard hooked up yet. Or are the only things you have hooked up a 12v power, ground, and the connector?

Re: Mallory 685 stumble

One thing to check. It's increasing your spark intensity so if you have a plug wire arcing or something it will only make the problem worse. Go to a pitch black area and pop your hood and start the car and see if anything is arcing (you'll know it if you see it). I'll post up some more tomorrow, pretty tired right now.
