Ditto. I love this box and the glove box mounting was a great move for me. I mounted it so that it's vertical when the box is open and the wires run over the top of the box at the rear. It looks clean with the wire loom.

This is the best deal going on ignition boxes because it works perfectly, does everything, and doesn't use chips.

how warm does your box get? mine fried, not sure if i got a bad box or wired something wrong? what harness did you use? msd, mallory or hardwire?

Mine gets very hot sitting in an open glovebox during the summer. With the windows down driving around it's almost too hot to touch.

You can try to contact Mallory. There were a couple build problems on the earlier models and they refurb'd mine for free. Don't know if that has anything to do with your problem but they have good customer service once you can get ahold of them.

i was lucky enough to get a replacement from the local shop but now they are out of business and i'm scared to put it back in the glovebox! lol not sure if it was just a bad box or if something is wrong with my wiring....

i don't really think its the wiring though because the car runs fine with the bypass plug..unless it was a poor ground(which is straight to the battery.)
