Making SFC's?

Has anyone considered making their own SFCs? I was just thinking, with some boxed steel tubing, you could cut them to size and be done with it? I mean I was just thinking, I have acess to welding equipment, and what if I got some exact measurements and just fabricated them. Would it be that easy!?

Thanks
Nathan

Should be pretty easy to fabricate, here's a pic of Chassis Engineering SFC's. Another question is, will you save any money ?
