Making a noise when turning right?

I have a 97 trans am ram air. When I turn to the right it makes kinda a squeling, rubbing noise. I had the brakes checked and they said my brakes was fine. Any ideas? Thanks for any help.

Don't know what it could be, but my '95 Z28 does the same exact thing. Almost sounds like you're curbing a tire, right? Of course, it'll do it 24/7 until my dad (mechanic) gets in the car to listen to it.

more people in car = more weight = different ride height. Thats why other people can't hear it when they ride with you.

So what could that be? If the weight in the ride is different? Thanks

it could be that the strut is riding at a different height therefore not making the noise. Or it could be the hub is at a different angle because of the weight. Sorry, I couldn't be of more help

Is the noise coming from the front or the rear....could be a rear caliper rubbing...they'll do that sometimes after changing rotors/pads.

if its coming from your rear, I would look into the amount of play you have in the rear axles. If your diff is wearing out or the C-clips are wearing (something along those lines), the axles will be allowed to pull out farther than they should, and this lets the caliper/mounting bracket scrape against the rotor. Get under there and see if the caliper bracket looks like its being ground off.

mine was doing the same thing when I bought it. I could be going straight, and no squeel, I would turn a little to the right and I could hear a faint squeel. It was definitely from the front. I bought some brake pads and installed them and it went away. Now its starting to do it again after about 5,000 miles (bought the car with 106k, changed brakes at 107k, now its at 113k) and I don't know if its the brakes or something else. Brakes only lasting 5,000 miles? find that hard to believe.
Of course its hard to notice over my worn rear brakes that make the highest pitched squeeling noise one could imagine
gotta get them done...
