I don't think they sell a kit for the lt1's. But if you know how why don't you just custom bend all the pipes? But honestly i would just spend the extra money on some proven headers.

I'm not sure where you can get a kit. Any kit for a SBC should fit though....

On the other hand, your motor is gonna run like crap with 2" primaries unless you're building a 7,500rpm high-end road-race motor or something. Honestly, 2" primaries will have no torque. You won't find 2" primary headers for ANY small-block engine. Not even racing headers are 2".

Cool. that the goal I am making a 355 that hopfully will spin way above 8500. just hope. also for someone who asked why dont I just custom bend pipes, well I personally like to built it while its on the car, and bending pipes would be ez but then you always run into problems where you missed measured by just a little bit. well at least I always run into problems

I dont want to be rude or a dick or anything, but this sounds like an outrageous setup you are going for here. Not even any DFI that I know of, accell, edelbrock, holley, none of those even handle anything above 7500max I dont think. Plus you will need some crazy *** heads to give you that much air also, also thats seems like a few too many rpms for an lt1 block. I dont see the point of spinning that high myself, but im sure there is a good reason, and maybe you have thought this out much more than it sounds like.

You might fit them, Dynatech makes 1-7/8" primaries, and I believe big blocks run 2-1/4 on high hp engines. I still just dont see the need for that large of a primary for SBC, and cant justify the cost. It is possible though, and would be cool, if it worked.

My MoTeC M48Pro is good for over 15,000rpm. My engine isn't .

Dart Iron Eagle block, SBC/Brodix 23* heads with spread center-port exhaust, with 2" primary (step design) custom headers

The above engine is configured to fit into a 30th SS Convertible. Engine is a 383ci, Vortech S/C'd, MoTeC M800 engine management, with approx. 1,500 flywheelHP.

From: Michigan is a decent state.
it takes about 3 FULL 8-10 hour days for a PROFESSIONAL to fab up a set of full length headers with every possible tool imagineable. and thats for a race motor with tons of room.

I was talking to a guy at work that was fabbing up headers for a ford (which goes IEIEIEIE, not IEIEEIEI and makes it much simpler)

there is also a LOT (and i mean a lot) of engineering behind the layout and design of them. they can VASTLEY affect performance- especially in the 8000 rpm range .
You really- and I mean REALLY need to know wtf you are doing (read: you better have some hard core edumacation and race expierence- not just welding capabilities)

Good luck in your endevours.

I know a guy who has 2" primaries on his LT1. They are SB2 heads, but the headers do indeed fit. It's for a seriously fast car running a boatload of nitrous.

Headers by Ed

This guy will sell you a kit with pre-bent pipes that you cut to fit your application. You can build them on the car exactly as you envision. Check in the header kits section.
